About Our Firm
Jelliffe, Doerge & Phelps has been in existence since the1920s. We specialize in trial litigation in the Southern one-third of the State of Illinois in an area commonly known as Little Egypt or Southern Illinois. Our law practice is one of the oldest in Southern Illinois.
Having tried and handled cases throughout Southern Illinois for many years, our attorneys enjoy a good reputation among other lawyers, judges and court personnel. In the last 20 years, three of our attorneys have gone on to become area judges.
Our strength is in our experience. Firms typically focus on prosecuting or defending personal injury and workers compensation cases but not both. Jelliffe, Doerge & Phelps has worked on both sides of the courtroom which provides us with insights into how insurance companies think about, adjust and defend insurance claims. Our diverse experience of handling both sides of these cases gives us an advantage. We understand how both sides think when preparing and trying cases.
